About the project

The EcoAgeing project aims to foster dialogue and joint learning between generations through workshops and to strengthen intergenerational support for climate protection by improving the involvement and collaboration of senior citizens and young people.

Objectives

The partners plan to implement the following initiatives:

  • Implementation of more than 60 innovative and engaging activities with older people on the topic of climate change.
  • Organisation of 4 participatory and intergenerational eco-workshops per country in local communities to encourage engagement and cooperation between the two age groups and to support intergenerational dialogue for a better future.
  • Organisation of national conferences to present and disseminate the project results to key stakeholders.

Activities

The main results of the EcoAgeing project are:

  • A climate toolkit with interactive and engaging activities that promote intergenerational dialogue on climate change.
  • Participatory eco-workshops and a handbook providing guidance for successfully replicating the workshops and supporting change.
  • A mobile application tailored to the needs of older people, offering a playful introduction to digital learning about climate change and helping to overcome barriers.
