About the project
The project aims to develop a research-based impact evaluation methodology for Erasmus+ projects, with a particular focus on adult education (KA2). The methodology and framework will provide breakthrough tools for defining, planning and measuring impact in EU-funded projects and will be transferable to other educational fields beyond Erasmus+. Ultimately, the project seeks to enhance both the real impact and its measurement, enabling organisations and funding bodies to demonstrate the effective added value of Erasmus+–funded actions.
Objectives
The main objective is to create an Impact Assessment Framework Tool supported by clear guidelines for use, allowing project promoters to design consistent impact strategies and measure results in a robust way. To achieve this, the project will:
- build a comprehensive overview of global best practices in impact measurement for educational and EU-funded projects;
- develop a coherent, user-friendly framework and methodology available in FR/ES/EN/DE and adaptable to different project types;
- test and refine this framework on three running KA2 projects, ensuring it is practical and realistic;
- promote knowledge and competence transfer between partners, strengthening their internal impact culture;
- support wider uptake by organisations and funding bodies that want to improve the way they plan, monitor and communicate impact.
Activities
To reach these goals, the project first carries out a research phase combining literature review and best practice analysis of existing impact measurement strategies and frameworks. This will result in a Global Best Practice Collection including 15 full case studies, a common template and methodology, and a transnational summary and recommendation report.
On this foundation, partners will design a comprehensive impact assessment framework tool, in both text and graphic format, translated into French, Spanish, English and German. This tool will then be piloted on three ongoing KA2 projects, using specific piloting guidelines, and the feedback from these experimental implementations will be used to adjust and improve the framework.
Throughout the project, partners will engage in knowledge and competence transfer activities (joint work sessions, internal trainings) and will implement dissemination and communication actions so that at least national and EU-level adult education and inclusion actors can discover, download and use the framework and its associated resources.
