About the project
With the Youth@Work for NGOs project, we aim to create a youth-oriented training programme that helps young people improve the management and transversal skills needed to coordinate and lead an NGO or similar organisation. We also want to equip them with crisis management and conflict resolution skills that are essential in organisational settings. Through this training, we will enhance the employability of young people, strengthen youth work in NGOs and improve crisis management capacities in the sector.
Objectives
Following a comprehensive research phase involving study groups with the target group and secondary research, we will define the framework and curriculum for the training to be developed. A training platform will be created and the related materials produced. Once the materials are uploaded, a pilot phase will be carried out in each partner country, during which a large number of young people will be trained using the platform. We will also evaluate and disseminate our results in order to increase the project’s impact.
Activities
The project will have a significant impact on young people and youth organisations. We will:
- Develop comprehensive research reports on youth work, including policy recommendations
- Design a training framework, training contents and activities, as well as assessments and exercises
- Publish all outputs on a project website, which will also host a learning platform with digitalised training content
- During the pilot phase, train 60 young people and 20 youth workers, and disseminate all activities and results to more than 1,000 stakeholders.
