About the project

The “Young Civil Servants International Cooperation Network” is an initiative of Memur-Sen to strengthen the professional and personal development of young civil servants and to contribute to the future of public administration in Türkiye. Through structured cooperation and exchange between Türkiye and Germany, the project builds a sustainable network of young public officials who learn from each other, share good practices and develop a stronger culture of high-quality, citizen-oriented public service.

Objectives

  • Support the professional development of young civil servants, especially in leadership, communication, foreign languages and project management.
  • Strengthen international cooperation and mutual learning between young public officials in Türkiye and Germany.
  • Improve the quality and modernisation of public services through better-skilled and internationally experienced young staff.
  • Promote intercultural understanding, dialogue and respect among young civil servants.
  • Establish a lasting cooperation network that continues beyond the project lifetime.

Activities

  • Organisation of international workshops and trainings in Türkiye and Germany for young civil servants on topics such as leadership, digitalisation, crisis management and conflict resolution.
  • Implementation of exchange and networking sessions (round tables, peer-learning groups, study visits) to share experiences and good practices in public administration.
  • Development of training materials and tools supporting the professional growth of young civil servants and the transfer of learning into their home institutions.
  • Creation and maintenance of online communication channels (network groups, mailing lists, follow-up meetings) to keep the cooperation active and support future joint initiatives.
