About the project
The project “Healthy Time Management in the Digital World – Awareness against Nomophobia” is an Erasmus+ training course for youth workers. It tackles the growing problem of nomophobia (fear of being without a mobile phone) and unhealthy smartphone use among young people.
By bringing together 35 youth workers from 7 countries, the project aims to help them understand the risks of nomophobia and to develop practical tools to promote balanced, conscious and healthy use of digital technologies in their youth work.
Objectives
The project aims to:
- Raise awareness of nomophobia and its psychological and social effects among youth workers and young people.
- Promote healthy and conscious use of smartphones and digital tools, reducing phone addiction and encouraging real-life social interaction.
- Strengthen the competences of youth workers in digital wellbeing, non-formal education and communication (mother tongue and foreign language).
- Develop participants’ digital skills by using digital methods (e.g. posters, infographics, online tools) in a critical and educational way.
- Foster inclusion and intercultural learning by involving disadvantaged participants and building a European network of youth workers on this topic.

Key activities included:
- Introductory and orientation sessions to present the project, expectations and learning goals.
- Workshops on what nomophobia is, digital habits, and the positive/negative impact of social media.
