INCLUDE-EU is a two-year European cooperation project that promotes equality, inclusion and social cohesion by tackling racism, discrimination and prejudice at local level. Bringing together NGOs, municipalities and universities from Austria, Portugal, Italy, Spain and Slovenia, the project strengthens cooperation between communities, schools and public institutions to create more inclusive societies. Through education, dialogue and community engagement, INCLUDE-EU empowers both local and migrant communities to recognise discrimination, challenge stereotypes and build respectful, diverse and democratic environments.

The project aims to:

• Prevent and combat racism, xenophobia and all forms of ethnic discrimination.
• Promote equal opportunities, social inclusion and intercultural dialogue.
• Strengthen the capacity of NGOs, schools and municipalities to address discrimination.
• Empower young people, educators and community leaders to become ambassadors of equality.
• Foster cooperation between local communities, migrants, Roma communities and public institutions.
• Develop practical tools and policy recommendations that support inclusive local governance and long-term social cohesion.

INCLUDE-EU delivers a wide range of activities across five European countries, including:

• Equality Ambassadors Programme for NGO staff and community leaders.
• Local Inclusion Labs bringing together citizens, municipalities and civil society to co-create local solutions.
• School Inclusion Workshops promoting diversity, anti-discrimination and intercultural understanding among young people.
• National Policy Roundtables connecting practitioners and decision-makers to improve local and national inclusion policies.
• Development of educational resources, policy recommendations and awareness-raising campaigns that can be used across Europe.
• International partner meetings, knowledge exchange and dissemination events to maximise the project's long-term impact.
